interesting, this news is at least one year old by now, why digging it out now?
I thought TGF-beta is a better identified "cloaking device" for lung cancer, as Lucanix vaccine has been in Phase III clinical trial for over a year at least.
a discussion on Inspire.com - the largest information exchange website for lung cancer patients in English speaking countries, November 2012. The discussion is apparently already closed http://www.inspire.com/groups/lu ... rs/discussion/cd47/
It maybe promising, but from preclinical experiments - an animal model, to human trials, please give it at least 3-5 years. Also, there are literally 100s discoveries like this made by researchers in the US and elsewhere in the world, so we can't afford to be over-excited for all of them. There might be a reason why this old news is dug out more than a year later, but I would not know it.
